20 March

When my friend’s daughter was very little, she used to charm them with a word she made up and used whenever she was delighted by something she saw. A pretty sunset, her favorite dessert, a beautiful rainbow, Emma would always quietly whisper the word she invented slowly and softly. “Waaah-neee!”

One day Emma and her family were in the car together and they passed a beautiful meadow of flowers. My friend said, “Wow neat!”

And Emma whispered, “Waaah–neee!”

I do not know much about God and prayer, but I have come to believe over the last twenty-five years, that there’s something to be said about keeping prayer simple. Help, Thanks, Wow.
