I hope you’re having a beautiful day. ♡
Today, we’re celebrating ¤ JohnnyO’s 3-Year Anniversary Gratitude Day! ¤
“The New Best Thing, ME”
There is nothing Routine about resisting what I know I need to do, which specifically is to make time for the most important thing in my life, ME. After all, I am a routine resister. My routine is no routine. Routinely, I ignore discipline. Equally as routine, I chase what others perceive as impossible, and sometimes I make the mistake of buying what they are selling. However, I freely acknowledge that my routine is having no routine.
Although my new life is truly a Blessing as I embrace and embark on my 4th Year of total Sobriety in 2024, I need to acknowledge uncertainty is still the only certainty. Endeavoring to chase my dreams and still have the space to be effective and enjoy my new life, I think I have discovered the Solution. You guessed it, it’s a new routine.
I need to and WILL commit to certain “Rules for a Perfect Day” These are, absolutely will complete daily tasks for the remainder of my new life. It is the present, The Present, truly a gift that I will not Squander.

With Gratitude to the Writer in the prompt who broke Cookie Baking into easy doable facets which could be completed as time allows well before deadline, the Five (5) non-negotiable TO DO’s
1) Begin and end each day in Mindful Gratitude, the Present is a Present indeed.
2) 30 Minutes Writing each day exclusive of my Groups, preferably first thing.
3) Physical activity each day that is HARD. To include Biking, Weights, Swimming.
4) Do something that makes my day to day drudgery easier. Ie Cookie example.
5) Help somebody out, UNSOLICITED.
I hesitate to make such strong and rigid commitments. Over time I can earn flexibility. For the moment, I know that it is this very over the top discipline and commitment which will make me quit making excuses and get it done.
“It’s on, Johnny O”, is my self talk.
“Prove it”, replied both supporters and naysayers.
My response, “Yes, Sir, You bet. Can do. No Sweat.
Be calm, be cool, be collected, be smooth.
