BETR-Frodo: Day 17

“[Bilbo] often used to say there was only one Road; that it was like a great river: its springs were at every doorstep and every path was its tributary.” (Frodo) The Fellowship of the Ring, JRR Tolkien

Here below are the notes* Samwise Gamgee took along the journey.  (Based “Flight to the Ford,” The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien and The Atlas of Middle Earth by Karen Fonstad).

BETR-FRODO Day 17 Mile 298

We’re camped now.  We finally made it out of those brambles! Today we followed a wide shallow curving valley.   Mr. Frodo is hanging on but he looks poorly.  His eyes are all funny and he doesn’t recognize anyone.  It’s like he’s somewheres else.
