My name is Tizz, pen name Niki Flow.
Twelve years ago, another writer on Twitter challenged me to help spread the word about homelessness and try to do something about it personally. At the time, I was agoraphobic (cured now). I immediately thought, How can a woman who can’t leave her own home help people who don’t have a home? I knew there was a way.
Challenge accepted.
I could write, so that’s what I did. This is my first post on my first WordPress blog:
I created under1000skies.org, which has since become my passion and heartsong. It is a space for people who are or were between homes to have their creativity celebrated and highlighted. It took off from there, with a lot of help from friends.
A few years ago, my husband and I bought our domain name for under1000skies.org. We also make sure this site is ad-free. Last year, we created our first under1000skies 12-month Calendar.
