My name is Tizz, pen name Niki Flow.
Twelve years ago, I was challenged by another writer on Twitter to help get the word out about homelessness and to try to do something about it personally. At the time, I was agoraphobic (cured now). I immediately thought, How can a woman who can’t leave her own home help people who don’t have a home? I knew there was a way.
Challenge accepted.
I could write, so that’s what I did. This is my first post on my first WordPress blog:
I created under1000skies.org, which has since become my passion and heartsong. It is a space for people who are or were between homes to have their creativity celebrated and highlighted. It took off from there, with a lot of help from friends.
A few years ago, my husband and I bought our domain name for under1000skies.org. We also make sure this site is ad-free. Last year, we created our first under1000skies 12-month Calendar.
