Dear Creative Soul,
under1000skies.org is looking for people experiencing housing insecurity now or in the past to contribute art, photos, or poetry. Your work will be showcased on our main feed and saved on your under1000skies artist page.

How We Began

Nine years ago, two people living very different lives were introduced by a mutual friend. One, Niki Flow, was struggling with agoraphobia, while the other, John Olander, was experiencing homelessness. At that time, their circumstances were only a single chapter of their stories.

Niki was launching a blog to showcase creative individuals facing housing insecurity. Operating as a “Talent Scout,” she believed that creating together reveals the truth of who people are.

John, a lifelong Denver resident, found himself without a home in [Year]. He dedicated himself to improving his own life and the lives of others, calling himself a “Dot-Connecting Change Agent.”

Their connection was rooted in creativity and heart. Together, they work to bring light to the world in their own unique ways. While they both have powerful histories, under1000skies.org is dedicated to highlighting stories like John’s, stories of survival, redemption, and grace.
