When I look for a theme for

the next two weeks, I ask

someone I love, ‘What

negative emotion have you

been feeling the most lately?”

Then, I go to

WordHippo.com, click on the

“antonyms” tab and type the

emotion. Today, the emotion

was “frustration.”

There are lots of words that

mean the opposite of

frustration, but the first one

that stood out was “joy”

mostly because of something

Brené Brown said.

I recently watched Brené

Brown’s special, “A Call to

Courage.” She said that when

we feel joy, and notice it, we

often immediately get

freaked out (“It’s TOO good!”)

Like we’re waiting for the

other shoe to drop. She gave

some hilarious examples. I

thought, “Wow, I have never

felt joy once in my life

without feeling intense fear.”

“You don’t know what you

don’t know” right? Well, now

I know. And now I’m going to

notice and drop-kick fear.

She said the way to do that is

with (can you guess)?

GRATITUDE!

I’m doing this! Gratitude is

second only to love as the

most powerful emotion

humans have available to heal

everything in our lives.

me. I’ll be sharing quotes from

specific one that was another

one of those ZAP moments.
