I hope you’re having a beautiful day. ♡
Here’s another light-filled ¤ Gem ¤

Constant repetition of heartfelt positive sentiments help keep my focus razor-sharp.

When such habitual thoughts (and accompanying feelings) become one’s normal state of reality (through constant repetition over a long period of time), many other things naturally follow:  eating healthfully, exercising, smiling, laughing, feeling good, enjoying activity, being in motion more often, etc., etc., etc.  Your outer world starts matching your inner world to become your total reality.

One of the other things that came out of facing my fears was the desire to be useful enough (regularly) to actually make a difference in other people’s lives.  So for the first time in my life I organized my time and resources to consistently do things to change other people’s lives for the better.  I spend time every single month to find a new charity (to which I contribute money) that is really effective in helping people.  And every month I search out specific individuals who are working hard to improve their lives by starting or expanding a business enterprise (but need some financial help), and offer a small loan to them (through KIVA, along with lots of other contributors) to help make their dream come true — with the expectation that they will be successful and repay the loan (which is then channeled to someone else working on their own dream).  These are things I can do regardless of my physical condition, and I can then constantly and legitimately feel truly useful to others.  I also find and buy a silver coin every month for my grandson so that when he reaches adulthood he will have enough capital accumulated that he can pursue some dream that he could not otherwise afford to pursue.  Now, no matter what happens to me physically, I know without doubt that I have had a positive impact on the lives of a large and ever-expanding number of people.  It’s a really good feeling.

I hope this helps.  Everyone’s journey is unique, and effective tactics are different for each individual.  I hope this helps you find what is effective for you.

-W. Clifford Dean, Every Moment Gratitude

I’m hosting a new 21-Day challenge on Kindspring in loving memory of Cliff: Every Moment Gratitude 2026. Kindspring.org is a free, online community for sharing inspiring stories of kindness. The challenge will begin the first week of January. All welcome.

“Do not kick against the thorns that come with life.”
Such good advice.
But beware the hidden knife.
The sharpest thorn is grief.
It comes completely unannounced,
A silent thief.
Impales your heart with brutal, deadly aim,
And you are never the same.

I'd love to read your thoughts!
