“Kahlil Gibran put it, ‘Joy and sorrow are inseparable . . . together they come and when one sits alone with you . . . remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.’ At least someone’s sleeping.”

“I’ve attempted to flood the path with light where I could, and where I could not I’ve wanted at least to hold up a candle so that others coming this way might not stumble too painfully.”

-Jim Beaver, “Life’s → That Way”

Thank you @jumblejimstagram for a week of wisdom and wit and for the gift your book Life’s → That Way has been to my life. Your book was hard to read sometimes, but I loved all of it. And reading it has helped me to feel less alone, perhaps. It feels like you’ve given me some more tools to handle my own stuff with a bit more grace.
