I hope you’re having a beautiful day. ♡

“It’s hard to build momentum if you’re dividing your attention.”
-James Clear, Atomic Habits
If you get James Clear’s newsletters, you may have read this quote yesterday. Did you find it gut-kickingly apt too?
I’ve been looking for help managing my time. I’m like a sailboat on a sea that is either completely becalmed (so going nowhere) or in a massive storm with galeforce winds. Lately, I’ve been holding on for dear life. I’m not complaining. Being in the zone is a great feeling until you wake up hours later and remember “Ouch! I have a body.”
I found this helpful.
- Touch the important things every day
- Eat.
- Acknowledge you will not get it all done.
- Be realistic about your time.
-Kate McKean, “Back on the Horse” from Agents and Books on Substack
Commenting on Kate’s post, I went looking for one of my favorite stories about time management and lists. I found one of the best versions of this story (once again) on James Clear’s site:
I hope we have a relaxing/productive weekend. See you on Monday.
