“What’s Shakin”???

I am referring to the recent EarthQuake in Venezuela, reminding us that tomorrow is never promised to anyone, in a very large way.

In my day-to-day efforts to help others, there are people who are victims and others who are helpless through no fault of their own. There are also many who are choosing a path of little or no effort simply because that’s all they know.

I am frequently taken aback. I am astonished at how ill-informed the majority of our population is about what’s going on all over the rest of the world. Partially as a result of this ignorance, in my opinion, a lot of people whom I encounter simply are unable to count their Blessings.

Our very worst day in my world is paradise compared to 95% of the world’s population.

I realize that our present society is fraught with problems. At the Macro level, the United States is experiencing political and economic turmoil as we approach our 250th Anniversary. At the micro level, the cost of EVERYTHING is increasing for EVERYONE. Still, if one takes time to notice, we are truly blessed.

I am still endeavoring to understand how clickbait, algorithms, and what I would term “technological attitude capture” completely disable one’s capacity to have dialogue and learn from each other. To listen so that we can jointly develop ideas and initiatives. So that we are not only part of the solution, but we all benefit from it.

So what I try to do each day is to count my Blessings. I hope that I can shed a little light, provide a glimmer of hope, by telling people my actual story, authentically and vulnerably. Hopefully, I will inspire someone to dig in and “Climb Again”.

Count your Blessings, help each other, serve your fellow humans. I write this ensconced in the aura of the same place I have been writing most Thursday mornings for the past five years, Same Cafe’, soallmayeat.org. So all may contribute, and all may belong.
