“A beginner must look on himself as one setting out to make a garden for his Lord’s pleasure, on most unfruitful soil which abounds in weeds. His majesty roots up the weeds and will put in good plants instead. Let us reckon that this is already done when the soul decides to practice prayer and has begun to do so.”

I’m down on my knees, I wanna take you there.
In the midnight hour I can feel your power.
Just like a prayer, you know I’ll take you there…”
-MADONNA, “LIKE A PRAYER”
7.105

Though the world is cold, just remember who you are
And I pray that you never have a rainy day
And no matter what people say
Even when it hurts it’ll be okay…”
-K. MICHELLE, “A MOTHER’S PRAYER.”

Vacation Alert
The next post here will be on Labor Day (6 September 2021). There will be one and possibly two exceptions: (1) if we get contributions from one of our artists — just got word we may have a new artist soon! and (2) an upcoming Spotlight-Saturday interview with ShowerUp Nashville, now in Chicago as well. That will probably be next Saturday or the week after depending on scheduling. I learned today they can do the interview, so I’m really happy about that and our new artist.
See you then.
