“Dream A Little Dream Of Me”

Stars shining bright above you
Night breezes seem to whisper “I love you”
Birds singing in a sycamore tree
Dream a little dream of me

Say nighty night and kiss me
Just hold me tight and tell me you miss me
While I’m alone and blue as can be
Dream a little dream of me

Stars fading but I linger on dear
Still craving your kiss
I’m longing to linger till dawn dear
Just saying this

Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me

Stars fading but I linger on dear
Still craving your kiss
I’m longing to linger till dawn dear
Just saying this

Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you
But in your dreams
Whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me

-Kahn Gus, Andre Fabian, Schwandt Wilbur
I chose this song because Ella was my dad’s favorite singer (and is one of mine too). And who can go wrong when Ella and Louie get together? I love and miss my dad. I hope he’s singing, wherever he is.

Our next theme will be a collection of quotes and information about living unhoused in the USA and around the world. And later in March, I’ll publish my recent follow-up interview with Paul Schmitz at ShowerUp on Spotlight Saturday. In the last weeks of March, we’ll hear the heartbreaking and inspiring story of Kai told by his friend Robin.

“When your fear touches someone’s pain, it becomes pity. But when your love touches someone’s pain, it becomes compassion.”

Stephen Levine via Nipun Mehta, Death and Dying, Awakin.org

Spring is coming. Keep the faith and hold on to hope. See you Monday.
