Tonight we camp by a proper stream and trees. Well, the trees are stunted alders but they sure beat the Marsh. The moon is turning her face away and in a week or so the night will be too dark to see much at all. (from The Journal of Samwise Gamgee*)

Today’s ☼Gem☼
Our ☼Gem☼ yesterday (9/23) was removed due to copyright infringement — I think. I only know that it is gone on all social media and on Facebook “Gems” as well. My fault! I ASS-u-MEd adding copyright was enough, but I never did get the permission from the photographer to feature his/her work (Hauke Sternberg, Road to Hobbiton). Live and learn. I’ll have a new 1.17 up soon and then will post 1.18. Sorry about that — won’t happen again!
