“There is no need to worry about the future. The ups and downs are the very nature of life. Spirituality is the science that teaches us to accept everything with joy.”

Special thanks to TC. We’re sharing her essays and photos again this week. Here’s Day 10 of 10, (Gems 7.85), and one of my favorite TC essays.

Spiritually Shy

Why do we feel shy about our spiritual beliefs especially when we are just discovering what it is we truly believe in? Is it the fear of ridicule or persecution? Or do we fear being rejected if we allow others to know our deepest convictions concerning our faith? There comes a time to decide to live and speak our truth in a kind and gentle way; standing strong and firm for what we believe in. We may slowly allow the process to unfold in a way that is natural and comfortable for us; no big declarations just a shift in how we think, speak and act. When we are first exploring our spiritual life we are spiritually shy, unsure of ourselves and are finding our own way. With time spiritual shyness gives way to strength of conviction, a deep knowing and love. We awaken to the fact that we are a spiritual being living a very human life. We are comfortable with ourselves and with others seeing our true self.

Thank you, TC for sharing your wisdom and creative vision over the past two weeks. Tomorrow we’ll feature a short video with all quotes and links to all ten stories.

over1000prayers

Just a heads-up, over1000prayers, new to our site since January 1st, is getting a revamp. Every prayer every day will be dedicated either to the birthday of a missing person and their family or to the day the person disappears. Both are really tough days for the family.

I hope we all have a beautiful weekend.

♥.
